Main Features
●NF04R employs a small 4-inch (10cm) HR-shaped woofer unit. But, it reproduces tight, high-speed, and bass sound beyond its size. “UDR Tangential Edge" and "PushPull Damper" are used. It eliminates reverse resonance at the edges, resulting in a mid-low range with excellent linearity and response.
● It uses soft dome tweeter with UFLC diaphragm for high tracking and reproducibility of very low level signals. Magnetic fluid is used in the magnetic circuit for stable operation over long periods of use.
●High-performance D-class amplifiers of 30W for woofers and 20W for tweeters are installed to drive the speaker units in a bi-amplified system.
●Equipped with a sound pressure level adjustment function to suit the listening environment. Low-frequency characteristics can be adjusted to levels of -2dB, -4dB, and -6dB, and tweeter level can be adjusted to -2dB. GAIN can be switched between 0dB and +10dB according to the output level of external audio source.
●HR diaphragm
HR (HP ROTATION) gives a circumferential rotation to the previously developed HP (HYPERBOLIC PARABOLOIDAL) shape to further improve it, which is known in the field of building structural mechanics. This shape is ideal for diaphragms, as it allows only shear forces to act as internal stresses and no bending stresses to act, resulting in light weight and high rigidity, as well as dispersing resonance caused by split vibrations.
●UFLC diaphragm
UFLC is a diaphragm made of polyurethane resin with urethane film laminated to a cloth material. By using this diaphragm, it is possible to faithfully reproduce audio signals with natural extension to high frequencies.
●UDR tangential edge
UDR (UP/DOWN ROLL) tangential edge is an innovative edge structure that combines up-roll and down-roll with tangential surfaces, and the shape is optimized for the functions that the edge has from FEM modal analysis. It is used for the edge of the woofer, which has an important function for the speaker's operation.
●Compatible with optional EB-6301
It enables mounting on walls and ceilings.
