SR-009S 採用品牌享負盛名的第二代多層電極板「MLER2」，比前一代更為輕薄，經過重新設計的孔洞邊緣比 SR-009 更為精準、銳利，更有效降低空氣阻力。再加上通過鍍金處理的電極板，加強電極板的剛性，令本身相當敏感的振膜減少因為電極板共振的影響，再進一步加強聲音還原度。

SR-009S 的聲音整體比較豐滿，具有相當順暢的聲音銜接，調音方面特別加強了低頻及樂器的力度，雖然未及CRBN的下潛能力，但聲音帶有爽快的衝擊力，伴隨著陣陣的泛音延展，對於小型音樂會或者室樂的錄音，更顯當中的魅力。
